House Kala is one of Tampah Hills’ most distinctive architectural villas. Designed by Caceres + Tous and recently featured by international architecture publication Dezeen, the villa is set high on the hillside in Lombok, where its circular form opens the house to sea, valley, sunrise and sunset views.

The design is bold but deeply grounded in its setting. Curved, terracotta-toned walls, natural textures, vertical timber slats, a skylit entrance and a tranquil reflecting pond create a powerful first impression. Throughout the day, light and shadow move across the villa, giving the house a calm, atmospheric quality.

At the centre of House Kala is a lush internal courtyard, bringing trees, sky and greenery into the heart of the home. The circular layout creates an easy, flowing connection between bedrooms, living areas, gardens and pool, making the villa feel both open and private.

The villa has four spacious bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom. The master bedroom enjoys a peaceful private garden outlook, while the guest bedrooms are designed for comfort, privacy and a strong connection to the surrounding landscape.
The main living and dining areas open directly onto the curved infinity pool, with sweeping views across Tampah Hills’ organic farm, palm trees, forested slopes and the Indian Ocean beyond. It is a generous space for slow mornings, long lunches, sunset drinks and relaxed evenings together.

For families or groups requiring additional flexibility, the private cinema room can be converted into an extra sleeping area on request. This space has access to its own shower room, making it suitable as an occasional fifth sleeping area. When used this way, the cinema room is not available as a dedicated entertainment room during the stay.

Entertainment is built into the experience. Guests can enjoy a private cinema room, when not used as an additional sleeping area, as well as a dedicated pool table room, in-villa dining, daily housekeeping, complimentary breakfast, turndown service and access to Tampah Hills’ wider guest services.
