The Principal of Gfab, Gary Fell, has had a long and very successful career since graduating from UCL’s prestigious Bartlett School of Architecture. He originally came to Bali to work on the Four Seasons Sayan in Ubud and then started Gfab in 1999. The company has since done many award-winning residential and resort projects in the Asia Pacific region.
PHILOSOPHY AND EXPERIENCE
Gfab always seek to work directly with the site conditions provided, tailoring the spaces to the unique topography for each site. The studio often works with local, natural materials with some of their favorite materials being local stone and wood. Their designs frequently blur the distinction between inside and outside spaces to create a seamless flow between them, while maximizing the available views.
Gfab has a great experience with sloping sites similar to Tampah Hills. They have won many local, regional, and international awards for multiple residence projects such as Samujana on Koh Samui in Thailand, Istana Naithon in Phuket, Thailand, Ashok Nirvaan in India, and Bask, in our neighbor island Gili Meno.
SUSTAINABLE DESIGN IN TAMPAH HILLS
All of Gfab’s projects include sustainable design features. They have been utilizing the so-called “green roof” method for passive cooling for a long time. They also strive to use locally available materials to reduce carbon footprint and often incorporate solar and low energy MEP solutions.
DESIGN WITH GFAB
Gfab are now available to design villas in Tampah Hills. They are very experienced in creating premium villas in close collaboration with the client. Gary Fell and his dedicated team have been working in Indonesia for a long time and are experts in designs that suit our climate and topography.
